After a binge of Nike retro runners, it’s time to move to the future! Caught a decent sale on these Nike Air Max 720 Electric Green and decided to give them a try.
As of 2019 the 720 was the largest amount of Air ever put underfoot on an Air Max.
These don’t really come with many extras. The 720 comes in a black Nike box covered in Air Max logos from various AM lines. The paper inside is white with the same Air Max logo print. These ship with black rope laces.
I had to give these a try, and while they are neat in hand, on foot I’m not really sure I’m feeling these. In terms of colorway, I wish the Anthracite upper was a bit darker and included the top part of the midsole where the swoosh is. In terms of feel, while they’re comfortable I’m not sure these are mandatory for the collection.
How Are The Materials?
The upper is basically a super sturdy layered mesh with rubbery plastic pieces on it. I can’t really judge the materials here as this isn’t really a leather/suede/nubuck type shoe. I’m pretty sure every regular Air Max 720 has the same or similar upper and the construction seems solid enough. Overall I’d say the materials are decent for what the shoe is.
How Do They Fit?
These Nike Air Max 720 Electric Green fit somewhat comfortably at true to size. Whatever you normally get in Nike should work for these. Overall these have kind of a weird fit – you can feel the air underneath and it is a bit strange compared to other sneakers. I’m not sure if I’m a fan overall. It’s not uncomfortable, it’s just unnecessarily strange.
